THE BIRTH IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Perfectly prepared for your baby

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE PERFECT TO BE PERFECTLY PREPARED

Society puts  a lot of pressure on women and maybe even more on postpartum mothers. The image which is presented to us on social media but also in magazines or on tv, is of mums who are back to their pre-pregnancy body in no time and even walk the catwalk six weeks after giving birth. We are seeing politicians or businesswomen who breastfeed their newborns while giving an important talk or closing a big deal. Perfectly groomed beauties who are sipping a latte, while their baby is sleeping next to them, peacefully in the hippest pram. It can be hard to not let these often photoshopped pictures and embellished stories pressurize you. Fortunately, more and more women are becoming visible who are showing or telling the truth about the period of recovery and adjustment the postpartum really is. real bodies.jpg
Check them out as a role model and allow yourself the time YOU need to get to know your baby and grow into your new role as a mother. BEING PERFECTLY PREPARED FOR YOUR POSTPARTUM PERIOD DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO BE PERFECT Your baby might not arrive at the perfect moment in your life, you might not have the perfect pregnancy or the birth you dreamt of (which unfortunately has happened a lot during these challenging COVID-19 quarantine times). But being prepared the best possible way, you will have the best chance of a postpartum time which allows you to recover properly and to enjoy bonding with your baby.
